![]() Capcom 1, which has a 4-player alternating mode, and Street Fighter Alpha 3, which has a special 3 player 2-versus-1 mode): US: Marvel vs. Shmups/Shmuplikes (all 2 player unless noted with '1p only'): US: Giga Wing, Giga Wing 2 (4 player simultaneous! Awesome!), Mars Matrix, Gunbird 2 (Psikyo is great), Cannon Spike (arena shooter), Bangaioh (1p only) (very similar to the Japan-only N64 original, but not the same), Centipede (arena-ish shooter crossed with a 3d platformer) Japan: Under Defeat (second best DC shmup after Ikaruga), Ikaruga (What more could be said about how amazing this game is? Not much I think.), Zero Gunner 2 (also Psikyo, but a bit different this time), Twinkle Star Sprites (Neo-Geo port, has English mode), Border Down (1p only), Trizeal, Trigger Heart Exelica (1p only), Chaos Field, Radirgy, Karous (all three 1p only games from Milestone I don't like them that much, really), Shikigami no Shiro II (on PS2 in the US in English as Castle of Shikigami II)Ģd Fighting (all 2 player except Marvel vs. (partially) means that I decided that the game is in multiple genres, so it's going to be listed more than once in the list, in each genre that applies. "Japan" or "Europe" mean those regions only (unless both are listed). "US" titles mostly came out in all three regions, but I'm sure some of them didn't have European releases. I also like plenty (but definitely not all) of the non-bolded titles, though. Italics for DC exclusives or home console exclusives (eg the game could also have been released for PC or arcades, but was not released on any other console).īold for games I particularly like. One of the main points of this list is to show that yes, the Dreamcast does have games you can't play elsewhere. This list is not complete, games are missing (licensed games particularly are missing for US stuff, and Japanese games where you really can't play them without knowing the language are left off), but it's pretty good I think. ![]() This isn't a new list, I'm just reposting it for people who haven't seen it. You can use original Saturn discs with it too, of course, which is fantastic. It does mean it's less flexible, but still, it's a pretty good emulator. emulators, it's just trying to look as much as possible like the original system. It doesn't deal with the filters and stuff of most N64, PSX, etc. You need a decent computer (from recent years) to run it, but it's a good emulator with reasonably good compatibility and options. There are too many games that PJ64 won't run, and the other N64 emulators won't either.Īs for the Saturn though, SSF is actually pretty good. PJ64's alright, but I would love to see an N64 emulator out there with better compatibility. The same goes for the N64, I can't think of anything worth mentioning newer than Project64. Maybe there has been and I don't know about it though? ![]() I don't know of much progress in DC emulation in recent years. It's got definite problems though, don't expect all games to work right. DC emulation - nullDC is the best we've got. ![]()
